I swear, the older I get, the least I understand things. I don’t understand sickness. I don’t understand pain. I don’t understand death, and I certainly don’t understand life.
2 and a half years.. that’s how long it has been since my world turned to shit. One incident after another, and then I realized that everything I thought I knew was a lie. I know I bitch about not being the same person, and I have changed, but deep down i’m still the same person i’ve always been. I’m just not 18 anymore. I don’t see life as this big unexplored territory. Instead, my world is a delicate fabric that can rip and stain very easily. I’m always treading on thin ice in my own head. It takes a nano second for me to explode in anger or tears, and most of the time i’m not certain about which emotion I should be expressing. It just happens and it’s impossible to restrain myself from breaking down.
I wish people understood this, and I wish they cared. It’s hard for me to want to talk about it anymore, but I feel like my misery is written all over my face when i’m around people that make me feel vulnerable, and that’s everyone I used to know. My social contacts consist of a bunch of acquaintances. I have no friends anymore.
Mankind has had something to do with every fairy tale out there, every boogeyman and every deity. The dismissal of these stories is easy once you realize the truth. We could not possibly comprehend the REASON for existence. not when there are stars that have burned for 10 billion years, not when we are some of the latest species to arrive on the planet. We give ourselves far too much credit for being able to communicate, form complex ideas and invent things. We still believe we are the center of the universe even though it is apparent there is no center, and through the lens of the universe we are indistinguishable from any other part of it. From a sub-atomic particle making up a tiny piece of a sculpture, to an entire galaxy, we can’t say how large or small we are, since we can’t tell if maybe everything we’ve been able to see is simply a molecule of something larger. And if that overly conflicts with the way you want to see things, let me make it easier for you to accept… You have nothing to do with the way things are, you are as insignificant as a grain of sand on the bottom of the ocean floor.

As someone who has a moderate amount of tattoos, the biggest annoyance is other people who have any amount of tattoos. Generally speaking, there wouldn’t be half as much critisism of tattoos if the people that had them weren’t always pointing out how biased others are about tattooed individuals.
It’s hypocricy and it’s really fucking annoying. You don’t have to point out how many tattoos you have. We can see in your pictures and quite frankly, most people don’t care.
